The Harvard Center Shanghai organized a talk and reception with Professor Luis M. Viceira, George E. Bates Professor and Senior Associate Dean for International Development at Harvard Business School, on June 1, 2015. Professor Viceira delivered a presentation on “Disrupting Wall Street? Wealth Management in the 21st Century”.

Professor Viceira is currently the instructor for the Investment Management course in the Elective Curriculum of the MBA Program and co-chair of the CFA Institute Investment Management Program for asset managers at HBS. He develops research, case writing, and teaching in the areas of investment management and capital markets.  In his field and practitioner-oriented research Professor Viceira studies the design of asset allocation strategies for long-term investors, both individuals and institutions; pension fund design; the management and organization of large institutional investors, including pension funds, endowments, and large asset managers such as mutual fund companies or wealth management groups; and innovation and disruption in the money management industry.
