The Harvard Center Shanghai hosted newly admitted members of the Harvard College Class of 2019 together with their parents and interviewers on April 18. Students and their parents enjoyed an interactive session to learn more about life at Harvard, from choosing field of concentration to making friends to student research opportunities.
The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University organized a symposium titled “The Arnold Arboretum in China” at Harvard Center Shanghai on March 27, 2015. For over a century, researchers from the Arnold Arboretum have collaborated with Chinese botanists to collect, document, and study China’s rich floristic diversity. The symposium reflected on the history of the collection, its meaning and its continued importance today in the face of globalization, conservation issues, and climate change.
HBS Club of Shanghai hosted its 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Harvard Center Shanghai on March 27, 2015. The Club's leadership presented activities and programs conducted in 2014, and discussed collective initiatives in 2015 at the AGM.
China Thinks Big 2015 was hosted at Harvard Center Shanghai on March 21 and 22, 2015. China Thinks Big (CTB) is a social entrepreneurship competition and conference organized by Harvard College Association for U.S.-China Relations. CTB encourages college and high school students to come up with innovative solutions to Chinese social issues, and provides resources and networking opportunities for participants.
