14th HBS Alumni Club of Shanghai Annual Entrepreneurship Forum

The 14th HBS Alumni Club of Shanghai Annual Entrepreneurship Forum began on Friday, November 19, 2021. The theme of the Forum this year was “Entrepreneurial Empowerment”, and it contained a trilogy of events on three separate days.

Part One was an online forum on November 19. Representatives of the HBS Club of Shanghai moderated four themed discussions with four distinguished keynote speakers, including HBS Prof. Willy Shih on Global Supply Chain, Mr. Lihong Qin (Co-Founder and President of NIO) on Electric Vehicles, Mr. Paul Yang (Partner and CEO of KKR Greater China) on Investment in China, and HBS Prof. Forest Reinhardt on the School updates.

Part Two was an in-person conference of panel discussions with HBS founders, entrepreneurs, and investors that took place at Harvard Center Shanghai on November 20. 15 panelists discussed topics including Living Healthy, Re-defining “made in China”, and Why Startups Fail. More than 100 people attended the event in person.

Part Three was Crimson Ball, an extended social gathering on December 4 to celebrate entrepreneurship and friendship in a gala together with HBS local community
