The Harvard Club of Shanghai, the Harvard Center Shanghai, and the Harvard Alumni Association organized an University update event with Harvard University Provost Alan M. Garber during his visit to Asia. The provost serves as Harvard’s chief academic officer and has responsibility for a wide variety of University-wide activities. These include University-wide policies, initiatives, and programs. Units within the Provost’s Office are responsible for major international activities, technology development, and research policy. The Provost’s Office also works to eliminate barriers to cross-School and cross-disciplinary research and education, and to facilitate collaborations with other universities.
Provost Garber provided an update on Harvard campus, including developments in Allston, faculty initiatives, including the work on edX/HarvardX, and the Harvard Campaign. For more event information, please click here.
